Deleting a Reference substance may have a serious impact on data consistency. However, when a specific Reference Substance must be deleted, IUCLID will display warning messages, depending whether the Reference substance is linked to Substance/Mixture dataset(s).

There is only one Delete command for deleting a single Reference substance. It is not possible to combine several Reference substances in one Delete operation.

Reference substance with dependencies to a Substance/Mixture dataset

If the Reference substance is assigned to a Substance or Mixture dataset, its deletion is prevented, and the following warning appears:

If you still want to proceed, the link with all associated Substance or Mixture datasets listed in the warning message must first be removed.

Reference substance with no dependencies

If the Reference substance has no dependencies (i.e. it is not assigned to any Substance or Mixture dataset), a warning appears.
