The IUCLID 5 query system is designed to allow users to retrieve information from the database by searching on a number of key variables such as chemical identifiers, (EC and CAS numbers), chemical names, Legal entity names, Classification and labelling, etc.

In the first release of IUCLID 5 the essential query possibilities are implemented. It is foreseen that at a later stage a more advanced query tool will become available as a plugin to enable the search for intrinsic and hazard properties of the chemical substances.
The query system allows:
To specify by selecting the Query result type in which part of the application the query will be performed: either in datasets (Substance, Mixture, Category or Template) or in inventories (Legal entity, Legal entity site, Reference substance or EC inventory).
To define in a single query type (i.e. Substance dataset) as many criteria as necessary to retrieve the desired result (i.e. Chemical name, Legal entity owner, trade name, regulatory programme, etc...).
To refine a search by using the Find / Filter
function, directly in the query result pane (for
more information, see below).
